• Census: 1851, Boroughbridge, Yorkshire; William Hassard 72, agricultural labourer Dorothy Hassard 67, wife Jane Catterson 55, kept by the above
• Census: 1861, 75 Hebble Row Huddersfield; William Hussard 82, Brewer Dorothea Hussard, 77, wife Jane Catterson 75 sister-in-law, nurse Robert Welbank 32, son-in-law, unmarried, painter and gilder, born Thirsk (Robert Welbank is apparently Dorothy's son from before she married.)

Dorothy married William Huzzard on 15 Oct 1836 in Kirby Hill by Boroughbridge, Yorks. William was born in 1779 in Flamborough, Yorks. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

• Residence: 1808, Boroughbridge, Yorkshire; Land tax records. His brother Thomas seems to be living in the next property whose tax is slightly lower.

Francis married Eleanor Welbank on 5 Mar 1772 in St Andrews, Aldborough, Yorkshire, England. Eleanor (daughter of Robert Welbank and Elizabeth Gray) was born in 1747 in York, Yorkshire England; died in 1824 in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

• Note: She married in Aldborough in 1772 and Christopher Welbank was a witness, but there is no record of her birth. She must be his close relative, but he isn't likely to be her father as he would have been 17 when she was born, I have made the assumption that she is the child of Robert, his cousin, cooper of York.. He had recently married and a son had just died, in the year she was born, so quite plausible he would have a child of her age. He had died in 1766, before she married.

• Note: 20 Feb 1714, Thirsk; Thomas Catterson de Kilvington,, Yeoman, married Elizabeth Scurr of Thirsk. roughly the right year to be William's parents. William had another son, Thomas, who was also a plumber in Boroughbridge. He had several children, some of whom have the same names as Francis' children, which makes it confusing to trace Francis' and Eleanor's descendants.
